Park assignment!

Ok so after a month or so of waiting to be surprised at check-in with which park I would be working in and countless nightmares about working in Dinoland (blech) I caved in and asked someone. So, I now officially know which of the Disney World parks I will be working in.....

yayyyyyyyy for Magic Kingdom, the park I most wanted to work in! Even though the hours are the worst and the park is the most crowded and the management is the strictest, it is still the place I have been dreaming to be assigned to!! Now because I am a character attendant I am one of the only roles that doesnt work a specific location, I will most likely be working the entire park, I will be rotating around to wherever the characters are. Oops sorry what I meant in Disney terms was "wherever my friends are!" This has already been a dream come true and I'm not even there yet!! I feel so lucky to have gotten the role I wanted AND the park I wanted.

So there are 3 weeks left until check-in, our hotel is booked and I still haven't really worked on that whole packing thing...2 weeks until Chris and I move out of our apartment and so far I have packed up our desk and bookcase, so not a whole lot of packing there either...
Also another exciting date is coming up...Next week on July 28th I will be 20 years old! I can't believe how my birthday snuck up on me this year. So I still need to figure out what to do for that. Basically, the point of this blog is, I have a million things to do and not a clue where to start, but I am working in Magic Kingdom!! :)

Counting the Days..

So I have been accepted to the Disney College Program as a Character Attendant for Fall 2010. My arrival date is August 9th and I can hardly wait. I am still waiting to find out about roommates and I can't wait to find out which park I will be working in. I am hoping for Magic Kingdom, but who isn't? I am working on a list of things I want to do that I have never done before, so here goes:

°O° Summer Nightastic Show!

°O° Haunted Mansion

°O° Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

°O° Christmas in Disney

°O° Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table

°O° Go to the 2 water parks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon

°O° Explore all the Pavilions in EPCOT

°O° Eat at the Coral Reef Restaurant

°O° EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.sadly, since I'll still be under 21, its just the food festival :/

°O° Hollywood Studios The American Film Institute Showcase \

°O° Magic of Disney Animation Show

°O° Walt Disney: One Man's Dream

°O° See the new Fantasmic Show

°O° Get pictures with all the Characters to go with my autographs Chris got :)

°O° See Circue du Soleil

°O° See the inside of Cinderella Castle

°O° Watch the fireworks with Chris

°O° Go around the parks with my family :)

ok well that might be more than a few...but I am so excited to get to do all of this, and get paid to do it! If anyone can think of any other fun things I should do let me know and I will add them to my list! My only problem in sight right now is that the love of my life, Chris Lee, who I currently live with has already done the program (Fall '09) and is now working on getting a job transfer to Orlando so we won't be split up. Worst case scenario, he will have to stay here for a few months until he can get transferred down with me. But I don't want to have to do this without him. He makes every day brighter for me. I don't know if we can afford the surgery to disconnect ourselves at the hip. So for now I am just having faith that everything will work out, and wishing and hoping for the best. :)
